Following sushi we were in the mood for something sweet so we decided to check out the hotel restaurant & get dessert there. Gillian & I shared a dessert platter (supposedly for 2 people) that featured the “dessert du jour” – a brownie, vanilla ice cream, raspberry sorbet, a mini bakewell tart, a dark chocolate mousse & some fruit coulis. My sister got the Butter Pastry Apple Pie with custard & vanilla ice cream. She also got a forest fruit daiquiri that was mega strong & not as nice as it sounds. The desserts were pretty good but the dessert platter wasn’t that big. It was plenty since we were stuffed but if you were saving room for dessert it probably wouldn’t be enough. Last night was a bit of a splurge going for dinner & dessert…anything to combat the January blues!
