The Lobster Pot in The Galway Bay Hotel

After spending a wonderful Valentine’s Day in the Lobster Pot restaurant we found ourselves back there again for another delicious meal. The service and food was excellent.

To start I got the seafood chowder that was fabulously creamy and full of salmon and mussels and the OH got the chicken Caesar salad that was lovely and fresh with crisp lettuce.


Main courses were: panfried seabass with wild mushrooms and supreme of chicken. The seabass had lovely crispy skin and was very fresh however the mushrooms were the highlight of the dish for me. They had a wonderful earthy flavour that really complimented the fish. The chicken was juicy and moist and we enjoyed both dishes throughly.



To finish we got the apple and berry crumble that came with chantilly cream and ice cream and a dark chocolate fondant that came with pistachio ice cream. The fondant was really dark and rich and served warm with a gooey centre. The crumble was warm and the perfect amount of tartness against the sugary crumble.

I highly recommend this restaurant for high quality food that’s consistently fresh and tasty. Can’t wait to revisit soon in the future!
