Interrailing Day 16

Interrailing Day 16: Today’s agenda was to see The Little Mermaid. ๐Ÿ Wound up on the free shuttle bus to the Carlsberg brewery since we just missed the bus to the harbour. ๐ŸšŒ We got a free beer sample and a logo pin with our entry wristband. The brewery is a self guided tour which took about 30 minutes. It included an exhibit of the worlds largest unopened beer bottles and then a history of the brewery and how the strain of yeast was isolated. ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ”ฌ There was also a small stable with some horses and a coach for a brief trip around the grounds. ๐Ÿด
Then we went to see The Little Mermaid who’s located in the harbour. I had read some negative reviews of the statue but I really liked seeing her, as did the crowd who had flocked to the area. ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸผThen we spotted a family of geese with little goslings swimming between their parents. So adorable! ๐Ÿฃ
Went for a wander around the fortification of Kastellet and spotted a newly wed couple having their photos taken. ๐Ÿ‘ฐ๐Ÿคต A great spot for it with all the greenery. ๐Ÿƒ
Headed to the Christiansborg Palace afterwards to go up the tower for some panoramic views. ๐Ÿ™ The queue was pretty long and the wait started to grate on the nerves. ๐Ÿ˜ A lot of people left because it took too long. ๐Ÿ•– The views were lovely but it was freezing up there so we didn’t linger. And it started raining (typical!) โ˜”๏ธ
