Interrailing Day 16

Interrailing Day 16: Today’s agenda was to see The Little Mermaid. 🐠Wound up on the free shuttle bus to the Carlsberg brewery since we just missed the bus to the harbour. 🚌 We got a free beer sample and a logo pin with our entry wristband. The brewery is a self guided tour which took about 30 minutes. It included an exhibit of the worlds largest unopened beer bottles and then a history of the brewery and how the strain of yeast was isolated. πŸΊπŸ”¬ There was also a small stable with some horses and a coach for a brief trip around the grounds. 🐴
Then we went to see The Little Mermaid who’s located in the harbour. I had read some negative reviews of the statue but I really liked seeing her, as did the crowd who had flocked to the area. πŸ“ΈπŸ™ŒπŸΌThen we spotted a family of geese with little goslings swimming between their parents. So adorable! 🐣
Went for a wander around the fortification of Kastellet and spotted a newly wed couple having their photos taken. πŸ‘°πŸ€΅ A great spot for it with all the greenery. πŸƒ
Headed to the Christiansborg Palace afterwards to go up the tower for some panoramic views. πŸ™ The queue was pretty long and the wait started to grate on the nerves. 😐 A lot of people left because it took too long. πŸ•– The views were lovely but it was freezing up there so we didn’t linger. And it started raining (typical!) β˜”οΈ
